170 govt schools miss enrollment targets

As many as 170 government schools in Lahore have failed to meet their enrollment targets, prompting the Punjab School Education Department (SED) to issue a final warning to the heads of the institutions. The Government High School Kot Khawaja Saeed has a shortfall of 277 students and Girls High School Jallo Mor 217, the officials said. The Government Girls High Schools in Mughalpura, Lakhodair and Gulshan Park as well as Government Kinnaird Girls High School were also among the institutions failing to meet their targets. Government Girls High Schools in Ghorey Shah, Governor House, Ghaziabad, Garhi Shahu and Nisbat Road were also in the list.
