2 teens killed, 4 others wounded in Philippi mass shooting - EWN

Cape Town’s latest mass shooting has claimed the lives of two teenagers, with four others injured in Philippi.

The attack happened in Marcus Garvey on Sunday, where six boys were shot by two unknown suspects. 

It’s not the first deadly mass shooting to hit the area this year.

In July, four people, aged between 17 and 20, were killed in a separate shooting in Marcus Garvey.

Police spokesperson Ndakhe Gwala said the motive for the latest attack is not yet known. "According to reports, the six victims were shot by two unknown suspects. Two victims died at the scene, while the others sustained serious injuries. The motive for the attack is a subject of police investigation."
