2027: Abia North deserves senator with experience- Nkole - The Guardian Nigeria News

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Abia North Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, Rt. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole, has said the district needs a senator whose experience, capacity and commitment to purposeful representation have been tested and proven. Nkole, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former member of the House of Representatives representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, said Abia North deserved representation built on experience, competence and a clear understanding of the needs of its people.

He said his legislative and public service experience had prepared him to represent the district effectively in the Senate if elected in 2027. “As a former member of the House of Representatives for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, I fully know and understand the responsibilities of federal representation and the importance of connecting communities to meaningful development,” he said.

According to Nkole, his agenda for Abia North would focus on effective representation, infrastructure development, education, youth and women empowerment, human capital development, and attracting and facilitating meaningful federal projects to the district. He said the 2027 election should be about ideas, capacity, experience and measurable results, rather than merely securing a party ticket. “Abia North needs a representative who understands the system, can articulate the concerns of the people and is prepared to work for development,” he said.

Nkole, who described himself as “a candidate tested by service and prepared for greater representation,” also appealed to voters in Abia North to support NDC candidates in the 2027 elections. He said the party, led at the national level by Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso as its presidential and vice-presidential candidates, offered Nigerians an alternative at both the executive and legislative levels of government. According to him, Nigeria would be safer and better governed under the NDC administration if elected in 2027.
