3 sentenced to death for mugging, killing garment worker in Mirpur
A Dhaka court has sentenced three men to death for mugging and killing a garment factory worker at the Martyred Intellectuals’ Memorial in Mirpur about four years ago.Judge Zahidul Islam of Dhaka's 13th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court delivered the verdict on Tuesday.
Those sentenced to death are Md Yusuf, Iqbal Khan and Mehedi Hasan, according to court bench assistant Sohel Mia.A fourth defendant, Md Sujan, was sentenced to three years in prison for buying a stolen mobile phone belonging to the victim, identified only as Saymon.
