Actor Allu Sirish seeks police action over temple music till 3 am

Actor Allu Sirish has urged the Hyderabad City Police to take action over loud music being played at a temple in Hyderabad till the early hours of the morning. Sirish, who lives in a residential society in Shaikpet, said the Hanuman temple at Vinobha Nagar has been playing loud music beyond the permitted decibel levels, with the disturbance continuing until 2 or 3 am.

Sirish tagged the Hyderabad City Police on X and said the issue had been continuing for the past few days. He claimed that residents of his society, including elderly people, children and working professionals, have been affected by the noise and that several complaints had been made in the past without any action.

“Respected @hydcitypolice. I'm a resident of Aparna One, Shaikpet. For the last few days the Hanuman temple at Vinobha Nagar is playing loud music, beyond allowed decibels till night 2/3am (sic),” he wrote on X.

Sirish said he had previously complained to the Film Nagar Police Station, but was asked to bear with the situation until September 25, citing Ganesh Nimajjanam festivities. He added that the festival had concluded but the loud music continued.

“They asked us to bear till 25th Sept as its Ganesh nimmajanam. The festival is done, but the loud music doesn't stop. Many elders, children and working ppl in our society are disturbed by it and made many complaints in the past. But no action was taken (sic),” he said, requesting the police to look into the matter.

Along with his post, Sirish shared a nine-second video as evidence of the noise he was referring to.

The Hyderabad City Police responded to his complaint, saying, “Sir, the matter has been shared with @SHOFilmnagar for necessary action.”

Allu Sirish, the younger son of producer Allu Aravind and brother of actor Allu Arjun, made his acting debut with Gouravam in 2013. He subsequently appeared in Telugu films including Kotha Janta, Srirastu Subhamastu, Okka Kshanam and ABCD: American Born Confused Desi.

Sirish was last seen in the 2024 Telugu film Buddy, directed by Sam Anton.
