After Delhi, Bittu Tabahi clears 2,435 kg waste in Gurugram, wraps up in Noida
After cleaning up a stretch of Delhi’s Yamuna River, Surendra Singh Choudhry, popularly known as Bittu Tabahi, has taken his cleanup mission across NCR.
His latest stop was Gurugram’s Khedki Daula, where his team removed 2,435 kg of waste, while the next and final stop of the three-day #CleanWithBittu drive was announced as Yuva Shakti Ghat in Noida’s Sector 94.
Bittu and his team had begun the campaign in Delhi, where they collected 585 kg of waste on September 20. The cleanup effort then moved to Gurugram on September 21, before heading to Noida for the final leg. Bittu has previously also cleaned the Yamuna, removing 545 kg of waste in a 4.5-hour cleanup that later went viral.
In a video shared on Instagram, Bittu is seen arriving at Khedki Daula in Gurugram with his team and getting started with the cleanup. The stretch is littered with plastic and other waste, which Bittu points out as a particular concern because cows often end up eating it.
He explains that the plastic waste is extremely harmful to the animals and says the team intends to clean the entire stretch. The video then shows the team working through the litter before revealing the considerably cleaner pavements at the end of the drive.
The Gurugram cleanup resulted in 2,435 kg of waste being removed, according to Bittu’s post. He also thanked the people who joined the effort and helped with the drive.
Sharing an update on Instagram, Bittu wrote, “Jaisa ki aap dekh sakte hain, humne apni #CleanWithBittu cleanup journey Sunday, World Cleanup Day se shuru ki thi (As you can see, we started our #CleanWithBittu cleanup journey on Sunday, World Cleanup Day.)"
He added, “Ab tak Delhi aur Gurugram mein milkar cleanup kar chuke hain, aur aaj is 3-day drive ko Noida mein end kar rahe hain! (So far, we have completed cleanups in Delhi and Gurugram, and today we are ending this three-day drive in Noida.)"

From collecting hundreds of kilos of waste along the Yamuna to removing more than two tonnes of garbage in Gurugram, the #CleanWithBittu campaign has taken a hands-on approach to cleaning public spaces. With Noida as its final stop, Bittu’s latest drive brings the three-city cleanup effort to a close.
It all started after cleaning the immensely polluted Ajnar River in Madhya Pradesh, Bittu and his team of 100 people cleaned the Turahalli Forest, located around 20 km from Bengaluru off Kanakapura Road as well.
