Texas high school football has entered the spotlight.

Allen (TX), which started the season unranked in the Super 25, has risen dramatically on the back of big wins over in-state powers Duncanville, DeSoto and Southlake Carroll. Its most recent, a 56-35 victory over the Dragons, vaults the Eagles from No. 11 into the top 10 with room for growth.

California saw a major shift as well. Then-No. 14 Mater Dei's (Santa Ana, CA) victory over No. 7 Centennial (Corona, CA) was the best win of the season for the Monarchs, shifting the power dynamic of the state ahead of a game between Mater Dei and Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas).

Baylor (Chattanooga, TN) picked up a solid Super 25 win over Trinity (Louisville, KY) on the back of David Gabriel Georges, who added to his resume as best running back in the game with a 315-yard, five-touchdown night.
