Entrepreneur and creative executive, Mofoluwato Anidugbe, has ventured into agriculture with the launch of Daily Food Farms, a managed agricultural platform aimed at making land ownership and food production more accessible to professionals and individuals.

Anidugbe, who serves as Vice President and A&R at the music label where he works alongside his brother, singer Kizz Daniel, said his experience in entertainment, fashion and hospitality has shaped his approach to building businesses and creating systems that can grow beyond him.

He said his interest in agriculture developed from a simple concern about the rising cost of food and the question of where the food consumed by Nigerians comes from.

According to him, further research into the agricultural sector revealed an opportunity to create a model that allows people to participate in farming without necessarily becoming full-time farmers.

โ€œI donโ€™t see agriculture as me suddenly becoming a farmer. I see it as another chapter of the same story which is building something, putting the right people and systems around it, and hopefully creating something that can outgrow me,โ€ Anidugbe said.

The idea eventually became Daily Food Farms, built around the model, โ€œOwn. Grow. We do the work.โ€

The platform offers three options: OWN, for individuals who want to acquire agricultural land; GROW, for those who want to participate in managed food production without necessarily owning land; and OWN + GROW, which combines land ownership with professionally managed farming.

Anidugbe explained that the company handles key aspects of production, including farm infrastructure, labour, agricultural inputs, crop management, harvesting and market coordination.

He said the model is designed for professionals and business owners who may be interested in agriculture but lack the time or technical knowledge to manage a farm themselves.

Daily Food Farms has already begun developing its first agricultural estate, with its first tomato production cycle underway. More than 15,000 tomato seedlings have been prepared for the first production acre, while plans are underway to expand into habanero and bell peppers, maize, eggs and catfish.

Anidugbe said the company deliberately chose to build before making a major public push, allowing potential partners and customers to see the work for themselves.

โ€œI didnโ€™t want Daily Food Farms to exist first on Instagram and then hopefully exist on the ground later. I wanted to be able to say, โ€˜Come and see,โ€™โ€ he said.

He also sees a strong connection between agriculture and his experience in hospitality, describing the relationship simply as: โ€œFarm โ†’ Food โ†’ Hospitality โ†’ Experience.โ€

According to him, the long-term goal is to develop a wider agricultural ecosystem that includes production, processing and distribution, while creating stronger links between agriculture and consumer businesses.

Anidugbe, however, cautioned potential partners against viewing agriculture as a guaranteed-money venture, noting that farming is affected by factors such as weather, pests, disease, production costs, yields and market prices.

โ€œWhat weโ€™re offering is structure, professional management, transparency and participation in real food production,โ€ he said.

Looking ahead, he said Daily Food Farms aims to grow beyond its first estate into a network of professionally managed agricultural estates and production hubs, supported by technology, better farm reporting and improved traceability.

For Anidugbe, however, the vision goes beyond business.

He said he wants Daily Food Farms to encourage a new generation of Africans to see agriculture as modern, valuable and investable, while giving families an opportunity to build long-term assets through agricultural land ownership.

โ€œI want a young professional to look at agriculture differently. I want parents to think about buying agricultural land for their children,โ€ he said.

With its first production cycle already underway, Anidugbe believes Daily Food Farms is only at the beginning of what could become a much larger agricultural enterprise.

โ€œUltimately, I want Daily Food Farms to represent a generation of Africans looking at agriculture differently; not as something backward or dirty, but as something modern, valuable, investable and necessary,โ€ he said.
