Army Havildar from Markapuram district killed in Arunachal Pradesh accident

An Army Havildar from Markapuram district was killed in a road accident while serving in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.

According to information received here, Havildar Kuvvarapu Kishan, 35, was a native of Pandillapalli village in Bestavaripeta mandal of Markapuram district.

His mortal remains were flown from Guwahati to Hyderabad in a special flight and brought by road to his native village on Wednesday. He is survived by his parents, wife, an infant son and a younger brother.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the death of the soldier in a post on X. He described Mr. Kishan as “a brave son of our Andhra soil” and said his courageous service to the nation would always be remembered.

Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh also condoled the death of the Havildar and said he had learnt that the soldier’s mortal remains had reached his native village.
