Asian Games, Sep 30 schedule: Lovlina, hockey headline India's medal hopes

September 30 could be another significant day for India at the Asian Games, with medal opportunities spread across boxing, archery, shooting, canoe slalom, cycling, judo, wrestling and sports climbing. The action begins early, with several Indian athletes chasing places in finals and medal rounds.

India's esports contingent will also be in action, with the League of Legends team facing Hong Kong, Republic of Korea and Chinese Taipei in Group B matches through the day.

Lovlina Borgohain will be one of the key names in focus when she takes on Kazakhstan's Natalya Bogdanova in the women's 75kg semifinal. Priya will also be in semifinal action in the women's 60kg category against China's Yang Chengyu.

Archery could provide multiple medal opportunities, with India's compound women's, mixed and men's teams all featuring in semifinal or medal matches. The shooting contingent also has a trap mixed team final scheduled, subject to qualification.

Later in the day, India's women's hockey team will face South Korea in the semifinal. Wrestlers Sunil Kumar and Nisha Dahiya could also feature in medal matches if they progress through their respective events.

Cycling, canoe slalom, judo and sports climbing round off a packed schedule, giving India several more chances to add to its medal tally.
