Mukesh Ambani stands at the top of Asia’s wealthiest. As of the Forbes update accessed on September 14, 2026, Ambani’s net worth was $86.3 billion.
Converted at Rp 17,812 per dollar, this equals approximately Rp 1,537.18 trillion.
Ambani is the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries. Forbes notes that Reliance operates businesses across petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecommunications, retail, media, and financial services.
Reliance’s telecom arm, Jio, has amassed over 500 million customers. Forbes also mentions Ambani's plan to list Jio shares publicly in 2026.
Additionally, in 2026, Ambani announced an investment plan of $110 billion to build artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in India over seven years.
In his Forbes profile, Ambani shared his perspective on digital development.

ByteDance founder Zhang Yiming ranks next with an estimated net worth of $84 billion based on the Forbes update on September 16, 2026.

Zhang is a principal founder of ByteDance, the Chinese tech company known for TikTok, which Forbes reports has over 1 billion global users.
Zhang stepped down as ByteDance CEO in 2021 and later resigned as chairman.
Forbes also highlighted ByteDance’s progress in the AI sector. Its AI app Doubao recorded 345 million monthly active users and was the most popular AI application in China in Q1 2026, according to QuestMobile data cited by Forbes.
Gautam Adani has an estimated net worth of around $81.8 billion, per Forbes data dated September 15, 2026.
