AUDIO: Victoria proposes new form of manslaughter for DV offences - ABC News & Headlines – Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Today we're hearing about the deaths of three women in New South Wales, all allegedly in domestic violence incidents. 

At the same time, Victorian Premier Ben Carroll is set to announce new measures to punish domestic violence perpetrators. He says he's going to legislate a new form of manslaughter, and increase the maximum penalty for rape.

Professor Kate Fitz-Gibbon is a globally recognised expert in domestic and family violence from Monash University, and the Chair of Respect Victoria. She spoke to ABC NewsRadio’s Tamara Wearne.
