Bengaluru doctor reunites with nanny who cared for him in Bahrain after 29 years

A Bengaluru-based doctor reunited with his childhood nanny after 29 years as he shared a video of the emotional moment on Instagram.

In the video, Dr Renoy Philip pointed towards an old photograph and introduced his nanny, Janaki aunty, who had cared for him during his childhood in Bahrain.

“This person was our nanny back in Bahrain. She was with us for close to 15 years,” he said, adding, “Her name is Janaki aunty. I used to be so close to her.”

Dr Philip also showed a photograph of himself as a baby with his mother and Janaki aunty. He also shared how Janaki had taken great care of him during his early years.

Later in the video, Dr Philip visited Janaki aunty at her home. Both shared a warm hug as she became visibly emotional during their reunion.

“After 29 years, reunited with my forever-young nanny! 93 years young, still energetic, joyful, and glowing. A beautiful moment I’ll treasure forever. Some bonds...time can never change,” Dr Philip said in the caption of the post.
