Board says the postponed papers will be rescheduled, with a revised timetable to be announced separately
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Bannu has postponed the papers of the SSC Annual-II / Oriental Languages Examination, 2026, scheduled for October 7, 8, 9 and 10 due to the prevailing security situation and suspension of mobile and internet services, according to a notification.
According to the notification issued by the BISE Bannu chairman on October 3, mobile and internet services had been suspended within the jurisdiction of BISE Bannu “due to the prevailing security situation in the area”.
The suspension of mobile and internet services was likely to cause “serious inconvenience to the parents, students, teachers and the Board administration”, particularly in the timely receipt and dissemination of roll numbers, duty letters and other examination-related communications, as well as in the dispatch of examination stationery to the respective examination centres, the notification said.
The prevailing circumstances may “adversely affect the smooth and transparent conduct of the scheduled examination,” it further added.
The chairman of BISE Bannu, being the competent authority, postponed the papers of the SSC Annual-II / Oriental Languages Examination, 2026, scheduled to be held on October 7, 8, 9 and 10. The notification said the schedule of all remaining papers would remain unchanged and they would be conducted strictly as per the already notified date sheet.
“The postponed papers shall be rescheduled subsequently, and a revised schedule thereof shall be notified separately by the Board,” it said.
All concerned were directed to take note of the decision and ensure its immediate dissemination among candidates, heads of institutions, supervisory staff and other stakeholders within their respective jurisdictions.
