TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK) has begun auditing Danantara Investment Management Agency's (BPI Danantara) 2025 Consolidated Financial Statements.

This audit is one of the BPK’s strategic audits. It aims to ensure the fairness of financial statements and strengthen the governance and accountability of financial management within the BPI Danantara structure.

The examination was marked by the Grand Entry Meeting and the delivery of the Examination Assignment Letter by BPK Member VII Slamet Edy Purnomo to Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani on Thursday, September 18, 2026.

The event was also attended by the Vice Chairman of the BPPTN Supervisory Board, Muliaman Darmansyah Hadad, and the Head of the SOE Governance Agency (BP BUMN), Dony Oskaria.

Edy said the audit scope covers BPI Danantara, PT Danantara Aset Manajemen (PT DAM), PT Danantara Investasi Manajemen (PT DIM), and all State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) within BPPTN's structure.

“BPK is committed to overseeing the governance and accountability of BPI Danantara as the foundation for high-quality financial reporting,” he said in a written statement.

Edy mentioned that the audit is carried out based on Law No. 15 of 2004 concerning the Examination of State Financial Management and Responsibility and Law No. 15 of 2006 concerning BPK, as well as Law No. 19 of 2003 concerning SOEs, which has been amended several times, most recently with Law No. 16 of 2025 concerning the Fourth Amendment to Law No. 19 of 2003 concerning SOEs. Article 3K of the SOE Law states that the audit of financial management and responsibility of BPI Danantara is carried out by BPK.

Previously, BPI Danantara had submitted its Unaudited Consolidated Financial Statement for 2025 to BPK on July 20, 2026. Submitting the financial report is part of the BPK’s audit preparation and implementation stages.

The period between BPI Danantara’s receipt of the Unaudited Consolidated Financial Statement on July 20, 2026, and the issuance of the Examination Assignment Letter on August 14, 2026, is an integral part of the group audit preparation process required by BPK.

According to Edy, this period requires intensive work to update risk assessments, materiality, and audit strategies. It also ensures that examinations can be carried out effectively and in accordance with standards.

Edy mentioned that BPK's audit aims to provide an opinion on the appropriateness of the financial reports. When providing an opinion, BPK will assess the following: whether the financial reports conform to accounting standards, whether the disclosures are adequate, whether there is compliance with laws and regulations, and whether the internal control system is effective

Edy stated that this audit uses a risk-based approach, including identifying risks of material misstatement, fraud, abuse, non-compliance, and weaknesses in internal control.

Furthermore, Edy said the BPK wants to emphasize that, in a risk-based examination, group auditors can only fulfill their responsibility to identify and respond to material risks if they have adequate access to relevant data, information, and individuals.

“Therefore, full support from BPI Danantara, SOE officials, and component auditors on this aspect is very important for the smoothness and quality of the examination results,” he said.

BPI Danantara previously announced the ongoing audit process of the 2025 consolidated financial report. Danantara Managing Director of Stakeholders Management and Communications, Rohan Hafas, said the report will be submitted once the process is complete. “It will be submitted after the entire audit process is completed in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations,” Rohan said in a written statement on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

Nevertheless, each SOE’s financial statements are complete as of June 30, 2026, and are accessible through their official websites. Meanwhile, Danantara's consolidated financial statement is audited by BPK.
