'Cantt Clean' initiative on the anvil

Work has begun to establish a Suthra Punjab-style sanitation system in the civilian areas of Rawalpindi and Chaklala cantonments. MNA from the cantonment Malik Abrar Ahmed has sent his proposals to the chief secretary of Punjab under the "Cantt Clean" slogan, while the cantonment administration will also take necessary measures. A special grant will also be sought from the Punjab government. According to sources, initial progress has been made towards introducing a Suthra Punjab-style sanitation system in the civilian areas of the cantonments due to the poor sanitation situation there. The initiative is expected to be implemented within the next four months. PML-N MNA Malik Abrar Ahmed will seek a special grant from the Punjab government, while the cantonment board administration will adopt the Suthra Punjab-style sanitation system.
