China's Canton Fair to feature more high-tech and green products

China's 140th Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, will be held in three phases in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, from October 15 to November 4, according to a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on Friday.
The fair will feature 32,000 exhibiting companies, including more than 11,000 high-quality companies such as specialized and innovative enterprises and national-level single-product champions.
The latest technologies are also expected to feature prominently. About 64% of exhibitors have adopted new technologies, including industrial internet and artificial intelligence (AI).
New products will account for 23.2% of the exhibits, while green products will make up 26%, with both figures reaching record highs.
The fair will also introduce new digital services to improve the experience for exhibitors and buyers.
For the first time, the Canton Fair will launch 22 smart application scenarios and 16 AI-focused applications. It will also become the first in China to provide booth-level navigation throughout all exhibition halls and augmented reality information displays at individual booths.
Trade services will also be expanded at this year's fair. For the first time, the trade services exhibition area will provide full coverage of 10 categories of producer services, offering companies one-stop services.
Meanwhile, 36.5% of exhibiting companies have adopted a "product plus service" business model, according to the information released at the press conference.
The Canton Fair's network of global partners is also expanding, with 12 new global partners added for this edition.
As of Friday, more than 200,000 overseas buyers had completed pre-registration for the 140th Canton Fair.
