Costco has officially confirmed its bringing back a fan-favorite food court item: churros.

Costco has officially confirmed its bringing back a fan-favorite food court item: churros.

The wholesale retailer posted a teaser video on Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 16 featuring two people with their backs to the camera looking toward the menu of a food court inside a Costco warehouse.

"I think it's going to look great right there," the first person says.

"I think so too," the second person says. "I can't believe we're bringing back *BEEP* for a limited time."

The video then cuts to a black screen that reads "To be continued..."

Customers flocked to the comments giving their best guesses such as fries and the famous combo pizza but those who thought it was the twisted churro were correct. The retailer posted the confirmation in an IG post on Friday, September 18.

People could not contain their excitement about the annoucement. One user commented, "Dreams do come true. Thank you @costco.Β " while other user chimed in with, "Don’t tempt me with a good time."

Costco was seemingly keeping fans of its churros in mind when they brought back a limited time Caramel Churro Sundae to food courts in April this year. But those longing for the actual churros now have their wish. The return comes as the food court item was discontinued back in 2024.

In its most recent IG post, Costco says in the caption that the churros should be coming soon but every location is different so "exact launch dates can vary". In other words just keep an eye out for the sweet treat at your nearest Costco.

Costco has not announced yet how much the churros will cost this time around but according to reports the churros were $1.49 before they disappeared from food courts back in 2024.

The return of the churros is a part of Costco's recent revamps to its food court menu in 2026.

Costco quietly rolled out a hot dog and bottled water combo earlier this year, giving members the choice to swap the traditional 20-ounce refillable fountain soda for a bottle of Kirkland Signature water, all for $1.50.

Have no fear, though – the hot dog itself remained unchanged.

In July, the wholesaler officially introduced a new chicken tenders menu option to its food courts nationwide.

At $6.99 per basket, the meal comes with five strips and a dipping sauce that many influencers have compared to Chick-fil-A’s honey mustard. Costco officially added the chicken tender meal nationwide after testing it in select markets since May.
