Costco teases return of popular food court item. What could it be? - USA Today
A popular food court item is returning to Costco. What that item is, exactly, has yet to be revealed.
The wholesale retailer posted a teaser video on Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 16 featuring two people with their backs to the camera looking toward the menu of a food court inside a Costco warehouse.
"I think it's going to look great right there," the first person says.
"I think so too," the second person says. "I can't believe we're bringing back *BEEP* for a limited time."
The video then cuts to a black screen that reads "To be continued..."
The company then invited fans to guess which item is coming back to food courts. Some of their guesses on social media included:
Costco quietly rolled out a hot dog and bottled water combo earlier this year, giving members the choice to swap the traditional 20-ounce refillable fountain soda for a bottle of Kirkland Signature water, all for $1.50.
Have no fear, though – the hot dog itself remained unchanged.
In July, the wholesaler officially introduced a new chicken tenders menu option to its food courts nationwide.
At $6.99 per basket, the meal comes with five strips and a dipping sauce that many influencers have compared to Chick-fil-A’s honey mustard. Costco officially added the chicken tender meal nationwide after testing it in select markets since May.
