Adilabad Two-Town Police seized a DJ sound system during a Ganesh idol installation programme at a festival pandal in Sundarayya Nagar in Adilabad on Monday (September 14, 2026).
A case was registered against the organisers of the Ganesh pandal and the owner of the DJ system for allegedly violating orders prohibiting the use of high-decibel DJ systems during the Ganesh Navaratri festivities, police said.
The police said the guidelines were being strictly enforced in view of concerns over noise pollution.
The organisers of all Ganesh pandals in the town had already been instructed to comply with the guidelines and refrain from using DJ sound systems.
