DJ vehicle seized, operator booked in Adilabad district

A vehicle-mounted disc jockey (DJ) system was seized and its operator from Birlagondi village was booked by the Boath police in Adilabad district on Monday.

The action followed a complaint lodged by local villagers over the alleged use of the DJ system by the accused during the Ganesh idol immersion ceremony at Birlagondi on Sunday night.

According to sources, the villagers alleged that the high-decibel sound and lighting system used during the ceremony caused noise pollution and inconvenience to the villagers, particularly elderly residents.

Police said the use of high-decibel DJ systems during Ganesh idol immersion festivities was prohibited and warned that legal action would be taken against those violating the restrictions.
