DUSU Election 2026 Live: Meet the candidates contesting Delhi University polls, their manifesto

Voting for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections 2026 will be held today, September 18, with 20 candidates contesting the four central posts — president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary. Counting of votes will be held on September 19.

The election has full panels from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), while the All India Students’ Association (AISA) and Students’ Federation of India (SFI) are contesting together.

For the president’s post, ABVP has fielded Yash Dabas, while NSUI has nominated Vijay Shankar Meena. AISA-SFI’s presidential candidate is Ananya Raturi. The other presidential candidates are Ashmit Pawar, Ejaz Mansuri, Samarth Beniwal and Sameer Kumar.

For vice-president, the candidates include Ishu Maurya (ABVP), Vir Chatrath (NSUI), Akshat Shikhar (AISA-SFI), Aranya Singh Rathore and Deepanshu Shokeen.

The secretary’s contest features Riya Chhawadi (ABVP), Namrata Choudhary (NSUI), Stanzin Deskyong (AISA-SFI) and Pankaj Kumar.

For joint secretary, Lakshya Raj Singh (ABVP), Gopal Choudhary (NSUI), B Parijaat (AISA-SFI) and Vishesh Yadav are in the fray.

Voting for day-college students is scheduled from 8:30 am to 1 pm, while evening students can vote from 3 pm to 7:30 pm.
