Easterlies to bring isolated rain over parts of Luzon, rest of PH - GMA Network

Easterlies will continue to affect extreme Northern Luzon on Sunday, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, the state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its public weather forecast issued at 4 a.m. Sunday, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country would also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds from the northeast to east will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon, with coastal waters expected to be slight to moderate and wave heights ranging from 1.2 to 2.1 meters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds from the northeast to northwest, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate, with wave heights of 0.6 to 1.5 meters.

At the PAGASA weather station in Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City, the maximum temperature recorded in the past 24 hours was 31.5 degrees Celsius at 2 p.m. Saturday, while the minimum was 24.5 C at 6 a.m.
