Ex-Ganassi mayor set to take Lanao del Sur’s 6th District BARMM seat - Rappler

BARMM POLLS. Hosni Macapodi is the former mayor of Ganassi and a former assemblyman in the now-defunct Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Regional Legislative Assembly.

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Hosni Macapodi, former mayor of Ganassi and the bet of the Adiong-led Serbisyong Inklusibo-Alyansang Progresibo Party, is currently at the top of the Bangsamoro parliamentary electoral race for the 6th District seat of Lanao del Sur.

Macapodi has received 33,664 votes, according to 93.38% of total election returns as of Monday, September 14, 10:14 pm.

His closest opponent, Jamael Balt, former vice mayor of Bayang and the representative of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party, only has 26,635 votes — making it impossible to catch up to Macapodi’s lead.

Prior to running for the province’s 6th District seat, Macapodi had previously served as an assemblyman in the now-defunct Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Regional Legislative Assembly, representing the 2nd District of Lanao del Sur from 2005 to 2008 and 2013 to 2016. – Rappler.com
