Faith-based community calls on SAns to stand against violence - EWN

The faith-based community is calling on South Africans to stand against violence and remember the human cost of crime.

The call came at a memorial service on Friday for 18 people killed in a tavern shooting in Wedela, on Gauteng’s West Rand.

Religious leaders said the victims must not become just another statistic, as their families and the wider community continue to grapple with the loss.

The attack has left residents living in fear while police continue their search for eight men wanted in connection with the shooting.
