Nigeria’s Falconets will target their first FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup semi-final appearance in 12 years when they battle Colombia in the quarter-finals on Sunday (today), PUNCH Sports Extra reports. The two-time runners-up return to familiar territory with history on their side, having beaten Colombia 1-0 in the semi-finals of the 2010 tournament in Germany. Ebere Orji scored after just two minutes in Bielefeld as Nigeria held on to reach their first final and secure a podium finish in a FIFA women’s football competition. That historic run followed a dramatic quarter-final victory over the United States in Augsburg.
