Frenchman shoots himself at Phuket gun range - Bangkok Post

(Photo: Kathu police/ Achadthaya Chuenniran) PHUKET - A French visitor shot himself in the head at a shooting range on Monday and was rushed to hospital, where he remained in a serious condition on Tuesday. 

Kathu police said the 28-year-old, identified as William Gil, shot himself in the head with a pistol at Kathu Shooting Range in Kathu district.

Krissana Chanthraphirom, a range supervisor, said the man bought 10 bullets and fired about five rounds before turning the firearm towards himself.

Police said it was not immediately clear whether he had intended to kill himself, or if it was an accident. 

Police did not reveal which hospital he was admitted to.
