China is marking the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March. In 1935, bamboo helped the Red Army build pontoon bridges to cross the Chishui River in southwest China's Guizhou Province. Today, the same natural resource supports a thriving local industry and has become a pillar of Chishui's economy. CGTN anchor Gasthoori Manickam visits Chishui to see how bamboo connects the city's Long March history with its development today.
