Fuel surcharge for domestic, international flights rises to Level 17 on October 1-15, 2026 - GMA Network
The fuel surcharge for the first half of October will rise to Level 17, three notches higher than the current Level 14, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) said Monday.
Under Level 17, airlines may impose a fuel surcharge ranging from P559 to P1,635 for domestic flights and from P1,846.10 to P13,726.58 for international flights, depending on the distance.
The Level 14 surcharge for Sept. 16 to 30 ranged from P457 to P1,336 for domestic routes and P1,509.08 to P11,220.71 for international destinations.

The fuel surcharge is an additional fee airlines may collect on top of the base fare to help offset the impact of fluctuations in fuel prices.
The CAB implements a 15-day fuel price monitoring and surcharge cycle to help mitigate the impact of fuel price increases on air travel costs.
In an advisory dated Sept. 28, the CAB said airlines intending to impose or collect the fuel surcharge must file their applications with the Office of the Executive Director on or before the start of the applicable effectivity period.
The applicable exchange rate for the fuel surcharge is P62.71 to the US dollar. βLDF, GMA News
