Here's what's making news in the Goulburn-Murray and Shepparton regions today.

An Albury doctor will face court charged with sexually touching a patient without their consent.

NSW Police allege the 51-year-old doctor committed the offence against a female patient in Albury four years ago, in July 2022.

On Thursday, officers issued the doctor with a Court Attendance Notice for the offence of sexually touching another person without consent.

The doctor will face Albury Court on December 22.

A 21-year-old Shepparton man has been charged over an alleged carjacking at Tatura last month.

Police allege the man stole a Land Rover from a house in Doller Court, Tatura, about 8:30am on September 25 and crashed the car near the corner of Turnbull Road and the Midland Highway, a short time later.

On Thursday, police arrested the man and charged him with numerous offences, including aggravated carjacking, burglary and dangerous driving.

Police also allege he committed offences while on bail.

He has been remanded in custody to face the Shepparton Magistrates Court in January.

Residents of Jindera continue to clean up after flash flooding closed several roads in the town on Friday.

Minor flooding occurred around Pioneer Drive and Urana Road.

The State Emergency Service responded to 72 calls for help across north-east Victoria and southern NSW, mainly for fallen trees and roof damage.

Five cattle have died in a truck rollover north of Echuca, with another six euthanased due to their injuries.

Emergency services were called to Bunnaloo Road in Mathoura, 40 kilometres north of Echuca, early Friday morning.

The New South Wales Department of Primary Industries euthanased the injured cattle, while the remaining animals were safely mustered into nearby paddocks.

The 31-year-old man driving the truck was taken to Echuca Hospital in a stable condition.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to come forward.

A road safety group is calling for urgent repairs to damaged safety barriers on the Goulburn Valley Highway.

Road Safe Goulburn Valley chair Neil Beer said temporary bollards were still in place where barrier sections were damaged in the January bushfires.

He said barriers on other stretches of the highway had also gone unrepaired for up to three years.

Mr Beer said the problem extended beyond the Goulburn Valley Highway to other parts of Victoria and questioned why crews were not available to fix the barriers.

Planned upgrades and road repairs on the Hume Highway at Table Top, north of Albury, have been delayed.

Transport for NSW said work could not begin safely due to recent wet weather.
