Government Prepares Assistance for Late 2026 and Incentives for 2027, Here’s the List

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The government is preparing a range of assistance and economic stimulus programs for the public in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Meanwhile, several programs that have been running this year will continue and expand in 2027.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that the decision was discussed during a meeting led by President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (30/9/2026).

"Today, we had a meeting with the President regarding the government assistance programs prepared for the fourth quarter," said Airlangga after the meeting.

A variety of assistance is being prepared by the end of 2026, including bank account openings, food aid, and wage subsidies.

For 2027, the government plans to continue and expand various stimuli across different sectors.

Airlangga outlined several assistance programs prepared by the government for the public in the fourth quarter.

First, the government will facilitate bank account openings for citizens falling within the first to fourth deciles.

This program is targeted at individuals over the age of 17.

"The figures are currently being cross-checked with the relevant ministries," said Airlangga.

Additionally, the government will resume the Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU).

This assistance will be given once for a period of three months at a rate of Rp300,000 per month.

According to him, BSU will be provided to approximately 13.3 million workers.

"This assistance will be given to 13.3 million workers, and the estimated budget requirement is nearly Rp12 trillion," Airlangga stated.
