Govinda joins Tina, Yashvardhan for Ganpati darshan, Ssunita skips family pic
Bollywood actor Govinda made a rare public appearance with his children, son Yashvardhan Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja, during Ganpati celebrations on Monday evening. He was seen stepping out of his residence with them for Ganpati darshan, smiling for the paparazzi and posing with both children. However, Ssunita skipped the family picture. Govinda had returned from his US trip just hours before the appearance.
Videos shared by paparazzi showed Govinda in a brown jacket, white trousers and sunglasses. He greeted photographers with a namaste while posing for the cameras. Govinda's appearance came a day after videos of his wife, Ssunita Ahuja, welcoming Ganpati Bappa home went viral on social media. She was seen dancing and celebrating as she arrived with the idol at her residence, while many on social media wondered where Govinda was. She said he could go for darshan the same day or the following day, depending on how tired or jet-lagged he was after the journey. Ssunita also said that Govinda or their son usually brings the Ganpati idol home, but this year she decided to do it herself. Her videos showed her dancing and celebrating as she welcomed Bappa, with family members and devotees joining the festivities.
Govinda and Ssunita Ahuja's marriage has been in the news for some time amid dating rumours linked to the actor's equation with newcomer Komal Rani Swarnkar. Ssunita had earlier spoken about Govinda's public appearances with Komal and had questioned his relationship with the younger actor.
The speculation intensified after reports claimed that Ssunita had withdrawn a divorce petition because of alleged marriage plans involving Govinda and Komal Rani Swarnkar. Govinda's manager denied those claims and said there was no question of a second marriage.
Govinda later issued a public notice warning against false and unverified reports about his personal life and family, and threatened legal action and damages of up to Rs 100 crore.
Govinda and Ssunita married in 1987 and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan. Tina made her Bollywood debut with Second Hand Husband in 2015, while Yashvardhan is preparing for his acting debut. Reports have said he is set to star in Hero Ki Horrorine alongside comedian Johnny Lever's daughter Jamie Lever, with the film slated for release on January 7, 2026.
