Govinda says Rani Swarnkar rumours were meant to tarnish his image

Actor Govinda has addressed the ongoing speculation about his personal life after he was seen at Lalbaugcha Raja with his Roopa co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar. The actor said their visit was work-related and dismissed the rumours surrounding their equation. He claimed that attempts were being made to distance him from his family and damage his reputation.

Speaking to ANI, Govinda was asked about the speculation following his visit to Lalbaugcha Raja with Rani Swarnkar. He described the developments as a “strategically planned movement” and said he had remained focused on his work.

“It is not anyone’s fault. This is a very strategically planned movement. Things are going to happen more. It was a part of the plan to distance me from my family and then tarnish my image in society,” he said.

The actor also addressed the rumours linking him romantically with Swarnkar. Govinda maintained that their relationship was professional and explained that he visited Lalbaugcha Raja to seek blessings for Roopa.

“This is not a subject for anyoneeven if there is an affair. I am working and maintaining a professional relationship,” he said.

Govinda added that he had previously visited temples with his co-stars and viewed the visits as a way of seeking blessings for his films.

“I went to Lalbaugcha to pray for my film Roopa. Earlier, I visited temples with Karisma Kapoor, and it turned out to be good luck for me. My films were a big hit. I also went with Raveena Tandon and now with Rani Swarnkar. I prayed as I am starting it again after a long time,” he added.Ssunita Ahuja's cryptic remark

The latest development comes amid continued speculation about Govinda and Ssunita's marriage.

After Govinda and Swarnkar's visit to Lalbaugcha Raja, Ssunita spoke to the paparazzi and said that humans are “dhokebaaz” (deceitful) and urged people to love animals instead. She said, “Janwaron se pyaar karo, insaano se nahi. Dhokebaaz hote hai insaan (Love animals, not humans. Humans are cheaters).”
