Hanuman Ansh box office Day 43: Film roars past Rs 316 crore in week 7
Hanuman Ansh continued its strong theatrical run on Day 43, adding Rs 5.00 crore nett to its India collection, according to trade website Sacnilk. The Vishal Chaturvedi directorial has now taken its total India nett collection to Rs 248.38 crore, while its worldwide gross has climbed to Rs 316.30 crore.
The film recorded an overall occupancy of 18 per cent across 6,462 shows on its seventh Friday, September 18. Its Day 43 collection marked a 20 per cent drop from the previous day, when it earned Rs 6.25 crore from 9,160 shows.
With its India gross collection now standing at Rs 293.30 crore, Hanuman Ansh has also maintained its momentum in overseas markets. The film earned another Rs 1.25 crore in overseas gross on Day 43, taking its cumulative overseas collection to Rs 23 crore. Its worldwide gross currently stands at Rs 316.30 crore.
The film's extended theatrical run has been particularly strong in recent weeks. Its sixth week alone contributed Rs 80.25 crore to its India nett collection, taking its overall total closer to the Rs 250-crore mark.
The film began its sixth-week run with Rs 10.50 crore on Day 36, September 11, from 5,743 shows, recording 38 per cent occupancy. Collections then jumped to Rs 18.50 crore on Day 37 and Rs 22.50 crore on Day 38, with occupancy at 52 per cent and 54 per cent, respectively.
The film subsequently saw a decline, collecting Rs 8.25 crore each on Days 39 and 40. It added Rs 6 crore on Day 41, followed by Rs 6.25 crore on Day 42. Despite the gradual dip in daily collections, Hanuman Ansh has continued to draw audiences well into its seventh week.
With just Rs 1.62 crore left to cross Rs 250 crore in India nett, the film is now closing in on another major box-office milestone.
Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film stars Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand in the lead roles, with Anil Rastogi, Sugandha Malhotra, Bhagvandas Patel, Neha Paranjpe and Vihaan Shedge also featuring in the cast.
Set in pre-Independence India, the film follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young man who sets out on a spiritual journey after the death of his mother.
