Hanuman Ansh box office Day 53: Film sees sharp drop after Rs 400-crore haul
Vishal Chaturvedi's Hanuman Ansh saw a sharp dip in its box office earnings on Day 53. The film collected Rs 2.35 crore nett in India on Monday, September 28, according to trade website Sacnilk. The latest figure comes after the film earned Rs 9 crore on Sunday, crossing Rs 400 crore worldwide.
With its Day 53 collection, Hanuman Ansh has now taken its India nett total to Rs 309.38 crore. Its India gross collection stands at Rs 365.50 crore. The film also added Rs 25 lakh from overseas markets, taking its overseas gross to Rs 38.75 crore. Its worldwide gross collection currently stands at Rs 404.25 crore, according to trade website Sacnilk.

Hanuman Ansh had a stronger weekend before witnessing the expected Monday drop. On Friday, September 25, the film collected Rs 3.35 crore from 3,767 shows, with an overall occupancy of 21 per cent. Its collection rose to Rs 6.50 crore on Saturday, September 26, when it recorded 37 per cent occupancy across 3,979 shows.
The film reached Rs 9 crore on Sunday, September 27, with 46 per cent occupancy from 4,387 shows. However, the numbers fell sharply on Monday, with the film collecting Rs 2.35 crore from 4,298 shows.

Hanuman Ansh had a slow start at the box office, earning Rs 1.08 crore in its opening week. It collected Rs 40 lakh in Week 2 before witnessing a jump in its third week, when it earned Rs 10.40 crore.
The film's collections grew significantly in the following weeks. It earned Rs 61 crore in Week 4, followed by Rs 90.25 crore in Week 5. Week 6 contributed another Rs 80.25 crore, while the film added Rs 44.80 crore in Week 7.
Its eighth-week run began with Rs 3.35 crore on Day 50, followed by Rs 6.50 crore on Day 51 and Rs 9 crore on Day 52. The film then added Rs 2.35 crore on Day 53.

Hanuman Ansh is the first part of a planned trilogy and is based on Vishal Chaturvedi's book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life. The story draws from the life of Neem Karoli Baba and is set in pre-Independence India.
The film follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young boy who leaves his home after his mother's death in search of God. His journey takes him across northern India, where he encounters experiences that eventually lead to his spiritual transformation into Neem Karoli Baba.
Shobhinaw Satyaa plays Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, while Chandan K Anand portrays Ram Nandan Bhosale. Nikhil Dubey and Anil Rastogi also feature in the film as Sudhir and Mahant Ji, respectively. The cast also includes Purnima Tiwwari, Sugandha Malhotra, Bhagvandas Patel and Neha Paranjpe.- Ends
