Following a leopard sighting near the 2,800th step on the AlipiriβTirumala footpath, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has directed the Forest Department to maintain round-the-clock vigilance in the area.
In a post on X on Tuesday, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said around 20-member HANUMAN (Healing And Nurturing Units for Monitoring, Aid & Nursing of Wildlife) teams, along with Forest Department officials, veterinarians and doctors, were continuously monitoring the area and taking measures to guide the leopard back into the forest.
Pilgrims have been advised to remain on the designated pathway, follow the instructions issued by the authorities, and avoid approaching or chasing the animal. They have also been asked to immediately inform the Forest Department or Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) personnel in case of a leopard sighting.
