Hayden Panettiere's cause of death revealed - GMA Network

The cause of death of “Bring It On” star Hayden Panettiere has been revealed.

According to a report from People, the Greenville County Coroner’s office confirmed that Panettiere died due to the “toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, Alprazolam, methocarbamol, and Quetiapine,” with the manner of death ruled as an accident.

The coroner’s office said in a statement that a board-certified forensic pathologist completed the autopsy and “no signs of trauma were discovered that would have contributed to the death.”

Panettiere passed away at 36 on August 16.

Her then-boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were reportedly at the South Carolina apartment complex where the actress died.

In May, she released a memoir titled “This Is Me: A Reckoning,” in which she came out as bisexual.

“I’ve chosen to be completely brutally honest about this, and that’s something about me that I was never able to share with the world, because it was just never the right time,” she said.

Aside from “Bring It On: All or Nothing,” Hayden also starred in “Heroes,” “Nashville,” “I Love You, Beth Cooper,” and “Scream 4,” among others. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
