HOLIDAY Weekends at Mega Mall Batam, Residents Could Hunt Various Culinary Bazaars

TRIBUNBATAM.id, BATAM - Enjoying the weekend, one of the shopping centers in Batam city, Mega Mall Batam Center, is holding a culinary tourism bazaar with the theme 'Bakul Jadul' Bazaar, which will take place from 14 August to 17 August.

This first bazaar comes with an outdoor concept located in Mega Mall parking lot.

This bazaar was apparently opened by Batam City Culture and Tourism Department (Disbudpar), where there are several traditional Indonesian food stands that can be a reference for enjoying weekend moments with family.

On the occasion of opening Bakul Jadul bazaar, Ardiwinata, Head of Disbudpar also appealed for the implementation of health protocols during the bazaar.

"Currently we are in the New Normal era, we are keeping pace with economic growth and most importantly implementing health protocols," he said.

For people who want to do activities in this place, they are required to make a statement letter that contains an agreement to implement health protocols, such as the obligation to use a mask, maintain distance from other people, use hand sanitizers, and so on.

Uniquely, in this bazaar there are also tenants who sell typical Malay snacks such as putu plate cakes, lendot, and other snacks that are currently rarely found in other places.

Hard off Promotion and Event of Mega Mall Batam Center, Natalia said this culinary bazaar activity will be held every weekend.

As for the culinary offerings, various Indonesian snacks, such as pancakes, meatballs, and other market snacks.

Not to forget the contemporary culinary delights are also provided at the bazaar.

"Currently, there are 24 tenants with various culinary delights that are appetizing," he said.

For information, this culinary bazaar is open from 16.00 pm to 24.00 pm.

Every visitor who enters first will have his body temperature checked by the employee on duty, then obliged to wear masks for sellers and buyers alike.

The distance between the tenants is also considered.
