India at Asian Games, September 21: IND vs PAK in spotlight, shooting medals at stake

Monday has a little bit of everything for India at the Asian Games, but there are a few events that will draw most of the attention. The shooting range gets busy early, with the men's 10m air rifle qualification followed by the skeet competitions. The air rifle trio of Himanshu Dhillon, Parth Rakesh Mane and Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil will be looking to make the final, while Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Raiza Dhillon, Maheshwari Chauhan, Mairaj Ahmad Khan, Anant Jeet Singh Naruka and Bhavtegh Singh Gill begin their skeet campaigns.

There is also plenty of action in the team events. India face Pakistan in both women's and men's table tennis, while the women's hockey team takes on Indonesia. The kabaddi teams meet Japan and Bangladesh, and the men's badminton team opens its campaign against Bangladesh.

The individual contests bring their own interest. Suchika Tariyal takes on Singapore's Teo Hui Hoon in the women's traditional -60kg MMA semifinal, while Sumit starts his boxing campaign against Thailand's Sinsiri Bunjong. Roshibina Devi and Aryan are in action in Wushu later in the afternoon. In swimming, Rishabh Das, Srihari Nataraj, Akash Mani, Heer Gitesh Shah and Danush Suresh feature in the morning heats, with the men's 4x200m freestyle relay also on the programme. Soft tennis pair Aadhya Tiwari and Jay Meena have three group matches, starting at 5.30am.
