Is Aaron Judge injured? Yankees MVP pulled from game early - USA Today

Aaron Judge left Wednesday's series finale in Minneapolis with a leg issue during the sixth inning with no team explanation. The New York Yankees slugger had just returned on Sept. 8 from the 60-day injured list after missing 99 days with a broken rib.

The Yankees announced later that he left with lower right leg tightness. He was replaced by Heliot Ramos for his sixth-inning at-bat.

The Yankees are easing Judge back after being out since May 31, but he had Tuesday off and generally when they are taking him out early for rest, the team waits until after his at-bat.

Judge entered Wednesday hitting .243 with 18 home runs and 41 RBI in 65 games. He missed 84 games with a fractured right rib, an injury he had suffered before in 2019 and then apparently reinjured in April of this season.

With less than two weeks left in the season and the Yankees chasing the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East, New York can replace Judge in right field. They cannot replace his bat.
