J.K. Dobbins injury: Here's the latest update for Broncos' running back - Broncos Wire

It sounds like Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins might have escaped Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars without a serious injury.

Speaking after a 20-13 comeback win over the Jaguars, coach Sean Payton said Dobbins is "frustrated" with "a little hamstring (injury)."

Later, news broke that Dobbins "has a slight hamstring issue," and there is optimism that he "will be on the field" when the Broncos host the Los Angeles Rams next week, according to a report from James Palmer of the NFL on Prime.

"We'll see where it's at," Payton said of the injury.

Dobbins left the game late in the third quarter and was examined in the team's medical tent. The Broncos later announced Dobbins as questionable to return with a hamstring injury. CBS cameras showed Dobbins standing with his helmet on the sideline in the fourth quarter, but he never returned to the game.

Denver went into Sunday's game already missing RJ Harvey, who is also dealing with a hamstring injury. Fortunately for the Broncos, fourth-round rookie Jonah Coleman looked sharp on Sunday, turning 13 touches into 58 yards and his first career touchdown. Regardless of the health of Dobbins and Harvey, Coleman figures to be more involved going forward.
