Taekwondo’s Juliana Mykhail Candelaria won the silver medal in the women’s individual poomsae event at the 2026 Asian Games on Thursday, giving the Philippines its fifth silver medal in the continental multisport event.

The 18-year-old Candelaria posted an average score of 9.1300, earning 9.200 in the first poomsae and 9.060 in the second to finish second overall.

South Korea’s Jung Haeun claimed the gold medal with an average score of 9.3100, while Thailand’s Thitaree Kaewolanwasu took the bronze with 9.0400.

The Philippines currently has three golds, five silvers, and 12 bronzes at this year’s Asian Games.
