Ketan had gone to Lohagad Fort on June 18 with Siya and two friends. He was initially believed to have slipped while taking photographs near a cliff and fallen nearly 400 feet into a gorge.
The investigation took a different turn after CCTV footage near the fort's ticket counter showed a man in a hoodie following Ketan and Siya. Police later identified him as Chetan.
Investigators also found that Chetan had left his phone at his workplace and had switched off its internet services from 7 am to 5:40 pm that day.
Police said analysis of call records showed thousands of calls between Siya and Chetan, including several lengthy conversations. Investigators alleged that the two were in a relationship and had planned Ketan's killing.
Police further alleged that Siya had earlier taken Ketan to Lohagad and had attempted to push him from a cliff on June 14, but he managed to hold onto a bush.
Both Siya and Chetan are in custody. Police have claimed that they admitted their involvement during interrogation.- EndsPublished By: Tanu jainPublished On: Sep 19, 2026 18:15 IST
