LaerryBlue Media CEO Wins Global Relevance Award at LWB 4.0 Lagos - THISDAYLIVE

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LaerryBlue Media and PressDia, Olanrewaju Alaka, has received the Global Relevance Award at the Lagos edition of Limitless Without Borders (LWB) 4.0.

The award was presented during the inaugural Nigerian edition of LWB, held on August 15, 2026, at Queens Park Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, with the theme, “Building for Global Relevance.”

The event brought together founders, professionals, creatives, business leaders and other stakeholders to discuss opportunities and strategies for taking African talent and businesses into international markets.

Alaka was recognised for his contribution to public relations, strategic communications and reputation management. LaerryBlue Media was also one of the strategic partners that supported the event’s communications.

LWB was founded four years ago in London by Rukayat Alabi, Founder and CEO of RKY Group. The Lagos edition marked the platform’s first event in Nigeria and focused on practical issues affecting professionals and businesses seeking to compete beyond their immediate markets.

Discussions at the event covered funding readiness, international mobility and visa pathways, skills development and translation, career strategy and business positioning.

The event also provided opportunities for participants to engage with organisations and professionals operating within the wider global opportunity ecosystem.

Six partners supported the Lagos edition, including TechCabal, Shuttlers, AfricaNXT Build, PressDia, Envestors and LaerryBlue Media.

For LaerryBlue Media, its participation brought the perspective of communications and reputation management to discussions around global expansion. The company’s role centred on supporting the communication of the event and amplifying the voices and ideas emerging from it.

Alaka, who has more than a decade of experience in public relations and reputation management, has worked with founders, executives, organisations and businesses on communications and reputation-related matters.

Responding to the award, Alaka expressed appreciation to the organisers, his team and clients, describing the recognition as an encouragement to continue contributing to the development of the communications and reputation management industry.

His recognition also underscored the role of communications professionals in helping businesses and individuals establish credibility as they seek opportunities beyond Nigeria and the wider African market.

The LWB discussions highlighted the importance of factors such as skills, networks, capital, positioning, visibility and reputation in determining how effectively African businesses and professionals can operate in international environments.

The Lagos edition represented an expansion of the LWB platform from its origins in London to Nigeria, while providing a forum for participants to examine the practical requirements for achieving and sustaining global relevance.
