Lakowe Lakes Classic tees off with car prize for winner - Punch Newspapers

The 54-hole Nigeria Closed of the 2026 Lakowe Lakes Classic tees off on Monday (today) at the par-72 Lakowe Lakes Golf Club, with top professional golfers set to compete for a N30m prize purse ahead of the international leg from October 2 to 4. More than 150 professional golfers from over 12 African countries are expected to feature across the two events, with the international tournament offering a $50,000 purse and World Golf Ranking points. Adding to the attraction is CIG Motor’s offer of a brand-new electric car to the overall winner of the international leg. Players from Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Ghana, Cameroon, Togo, Gambia, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Zambia are expected to join Nigeria’s leading professionals at Lakowe Lakes.
