Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former chairman of the Telangana Foods Mede Rajivsagar alleged that land grabbers are conspiring to occupy 57 acres of MB Church lands at Jadcherla, although the revenue records clearly state that the lands belong to the church.
At a meeting held here by the MB Church Jadcherla Lands Protection Committee on Monday, he stated that the church was established in 1974 by a Christian Missionary and it was running a medical college and hospital now on the lands. Some realtors were planning to grab the lands worth ₹300 crore at Gouraram in Jadcherla mandal with the help of the police, he alleged.
Some private persons had entered the church lands without any documents and demolished some buildings. He questioned the police role in the land grabbers’ attempt and sought to know why they had not written to the revenue officials to know the ownership of the lands.
