LHC moved against repeated petrol price hikes
A miscellaneous application has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) against the continued increase in prices of petroleum products in the country.
The petitionerthe Judicial Activism Panelsubmitted that prices of petroleum products were being increased on a daily basis in Pakistan.
According to the application filed through Advocate Azhar Siddique, the price of petrol was increased by Rs29.95 per litre between September 7 and 11. It further stated that diesel became costlier by Rs25.27 per litre within five days, pushing its price above Rs400 per litre.
