Writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar welcomed concerns raised by some Shivaji Park residents over noise pollution ahead of the CJP protest. Akhtar said he was pleased that residents had approached authorities seeking cancellation of the demonstration. Residents and local businesses near Mumbai’s Shivaji Park have raised objections to the CJP’s planned demonstration, saying frequent protests in the area are affecting daily life and commercial activity. Locals said the gatherings disturb the neighbourhood’s peace and create difficulties for businesses operating nearby. Some office owners claimed they are being forced to keep their establishments closed during protests, causing disruption to their regular work and operations.
