Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane is taking his defamation dispute with Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema to the Supreme Court of Appeal, after being granted leave to challenge an earlier High Court ruling.
Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane is taking his defamation dispute with Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema to the Supreme Court of Appeal, after being granted leave to challenge an earlier High Court ruling.
Mabuyane had approached the court after Malema accused him of fraudulently obtaining his Master’s degree from the University of Fort Hare.
The Premier said he welcomes the opportunity to have the matter reconsidered, with the merits of the appeal still to be determined.
