Madhoo Shah offers Rs 500 at Lalbaugcha Raja, viral video shows man hiding note

Actor Madhoo Shah recently visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja to seek Ganpati Bappa’s blessings. However, a video from her visit has caught the attention of social media users for an unexpected moment involving a Rs 500 note she offered at the pandal, which a man nearby appears to pick up and place under a cloth.

In the viral clip, Madhoo is seen offering a Rs 500 note at Lalbaugcha Raja before turning around to wave at fans. As she does so, a man standing nearby appears to pick up the note and place it under a cloth. The moment was captured on camera and soon sparked a discussion among social media users.

Several fans reacted to the viral video, with many comparing it to a donation scam. One of the social media users wrote, “Chanda Chori Guys,” while another commented, “Every mandir mazar has the same corruption problem.... I gave offerings at mazar and never reached the poor at all (sic).” A third user chimed in and wrote, “Ram mandir mein loot ho sakta hai ye pujari ka kya hi Galti hai (Loot can happen even at the Ram Mandir. What fault is it of the priest?).”

Several other Bollywood celebrities have also visited the famous Ganpati pandal during this year’s Ganeshotsav, including Shah Rukh Khan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Govinda, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh, Shilpa Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra.
